The 2018 Art Exposition Beijing was held at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, from Aug 30 to Sept 2.

The art expo is an important part of the 6th Beijing People Beneficial Cultural Consumption Season that will last until the end of October. The season is an attempt to provide new forms of entertainment for residents of the city, as well as to attract visitors.

At the 15,000-square-meter venue, over 6,000 works of art were on display, with all pieces also available for purchase. Among the many different artistic works were traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, installations, videos and handicrafts.

All the artwork was provided by more than 120 art galleries in China and abroad, from countries including France, Germany, Russia and the United States.

Visitors to the event were able to view paintings by well-known artists, including Zhang Daqian, Wu Guanzhong, Xu Beihong, Li Keran, Oleg Eremeev, A.A.Milnikov, Shi Qi, Li Jiacun and Zhang Baogui. The work of younger artists was also featured, such as Wu Dongmei, Wu Jun and Xu Shi.

In addition, the expo jointly worked with Paimai.JD.com to launch a new trading model based on Internet Plus. For people that did not manage to visit the expo, pieces were available to buy online.
