2017 Beijing Ditan Temple Culture Fair comes to Taipei

The 2017 Beijing Ditan Temple Culture Fair in Taipei was held in the Taipei Expo Park during Spring Festival from Feb 9 to 15 and welcomed more than 200,000 visitors. It was co-hosted by the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office and the People’s Government of Dongcheng District. This was the fourth time the fair has been held in Taipei since 2014. It has enriched Taipei residents’ cultural life and effectively spread Chinese traditional culture with Beijing characteristics, demonstrated the modern charms of Beijing and its culture innovation achievements and become a recognized activity for cultural communication between Beijing and Taipei.

The fair content has typical Beijing characteristics. It is  composed of four parts: a magnificent opening ceremony, a high-quality promotion conference of the Beijing culture and creative industry, a warm and unforgettable Lantern Festival party, and five themed activities featuring folk cultural performances, Beijing’s traditional snacks, China time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage live shows and folk culture merchants.
